Workshop Title:
To talk and teach about death- a way to help students with their life.

Workshop Description and Topic:
The problem with having death as a forbidden thought is that it has so much to do with life. In my workshop i will share example how the Chaplaincy of Linköping University, Sweden, work with death as a theme for giving lectures for medical students (including a visual presentation of a diseased person), having grief groups for students to process their losses of someone who has passed away and also as a topic for one to one talks with young adults who seeks a place to talk about this profound existential question. I will give practical details of this way to be a loving presence in the university environment, there will also be opportunity for the participants to share their experience and questions with the others in the workshop.

Presenter’s Biography, highlighting your professional background:
Mattias Sennehed, serves as ecumenical university chaplain at Linköping University, Sweden, and is also one of two national coordinators for the University chaplaincy network in Sweden. Mattias is ordained pentecostal Pastor, has worked with young adults and students for over 20 years, and has been national leader for the pentecostal national young adults network. Mattias has a theological bachelor’s degree from ALT (Academy for leadership and theology, Örebro, Sweden) and has studied pedagogy and rhetoric at Linköping University.
