We are pleased to introduce Nanna Elgaard Holm, who will be leading the workshop titled “Can we please not talk about ME? – how sharing readings of literature can benefit talks with students”.
Workshop Title:
Can we please not talk about ME? – how sharing readings of literature can benefit talks with students
Workshop description and topic
Literature, and especially poetry, often provides us with highly valuable insights into the entirety of human experience and existence. When shared in a group, however small, reading literature can also be a powerful tool of the mind, a stress-antidote and a medium for sharing one’s mind, thoughts, feelings and experiences. This workshop outlines and explores a work in progress: How the use of a specific method, known as Shared Reading, can be used to provide additional or alternative pathways in the confidential talks that constitute a core task of university chaplains. We will try the method hands-on and share our minds while sharing readings of great poetry.
