Workshop Title:
Freedom Oh Freedom

Workshop Description and Topic:
Academic freedom and freedom at the academy. How wellbeing is influenced by the (lack of) freedom students feel to choose, express themselves and travel. The freedom of students is strained and jeopardised by the high debts (up to 60.000 euro’s) students develop by studying, the insecurities students and staff experience in the challenges of the climate change, the everyday crisis of war in the world. And they bear the burden of solving all the problems of the world by their contribution. The risk of too much responsibility and too little freedom is discouragement and lack of hope, especially in times of spiritual poverty. How can we support the academic community in (re)finding their freedom to live and hope?
